Watto steers Sixers to semis
Shane Watson has steered the Sydney Sixers to the semi-final stage of the Champions League Twenty20 with an outstanding performance with both bat and ball during their five-wicket win over the Highveld Lions, his final match before returning back to Australia.
After being ordered home to rest up for the Australian summer, the allrounder took the match by the horns in typical Watson style, taking 2-25 from his four overs, before blasting 47 off 38 balls to give his side the platform they needed in the run chase.
Fellow quicks Josh Hazelwood (2-18) and Mitchell starc (3-19) were at it again, causing major headaches during their four-over spells, restricting the South African franchise to 9-137.
Michael Lumb (22) and Watson got the Sixers off to a great start with a 60-run partnership, allowing Brad Haddin (32) and Steve Smith (25) to guide their side to victory with five wickets and six balls in hand.

The Sixers now turn their attention to their final Group stage match with Mumbai on Monday, with the Indian franchise needing a win to have any chance of progressing to the next stage of the competition after their clash with Yorkshire was rained out overnight.
A loss to the Sixers may result in a drop to second place in the Group, but with a far superior net run rate to the Lions, they're all but sown up the top spot in Group B.
