Ricky Ponting surpasses Rahul Dravid as second highest Test scorer
Ricky Ponting has reclaimed second spot on the highest Test run scorer’s list after overtaking India's Rahul Dravid on Monday, during the opening day of the third Test against West Indies.
The recently retired Dravid overtook Ponting back in July during a Test against England at Lord’s.
Ponting, one of four Australians in the top 20, moved past Dravid's career total of 13,288 by one run, with his first innings total of 23.
The 37-year-old is still 2,181 runs short of Indian Test great Sachin Tendulkar, who tops the list with 15,470 runs.
