Australia fall to Pakistan in WT20 opener

Australia have lost their opening game of the ICC World T20 against Pakistan by 16 runs in Dhaka.

George Bailey won the toss and opted to bowl. Pakistan posted a solid 191 for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs with Nathan Coulter-Nile picking up two wickets for the Australians.

Australia lost the early wickets of David Warner (4) and Shane Watson (4) before Glenn Maxwell and Aaron Finch (65) combined for a 118 run partnership before Maxwell was dismissed for 74.

Australia’s middle order were not able to keep up the momentum and fell 16 runs short of victory.
