Left-arm seam and swing bowler Jason Behrendorff of Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers secured the award for the Domestic Player of the Year following a stand-out year across all three formats.

During the 2014 calendar year he took 64 wickets at 18.50, 18 more than the next most successful bowler, James Hopes from Queensland.

The Domestic Player of the Year award is voted on by the players and Behrendorff received 22 per cent of the vote to finish ahead of teammate Adam Voges (16 per cent), Hopes (15 per cent) and Usman Khawaja (14 per cent).

With the Perth taking part in Wednesday's Big Bash League Final, Scorchers coach Justin Langer presented the award to the 24-year-old via video link.
