Steve O'Keefe collected three wickets for the Australian XI, as Pakistan A posted 8-305 on day one of their four-day tour match in Sharjah.
Michael Clarke lost the toss and Australia were sent into the field.
O’Keefe was the most damaging with the ball (3-76), while Peter Siddle nabbed two wickets during his 16-over stint (2-61).
Pakistan’s Asad Shafiq (108no) aand Ahmed Shezad (55) were the best of the Pakistani batsmen.
This match is not a first-class fixture and the teams will play innings of 90 overs each, meaning Australia will go into bat at the start of day two.
