ACA Education and Training Grants

The ACA wishes to remind current players and players in their transition period that you are able to receive an Education Grant to support further educational study.

How do allocations work?

Depending on the type and level of education you are undertaking there is a maximum grant allocation of $4,000 the ACA can provide each member, each financial year.

Below is a table with examples of education supported along with a guide of maximum allocations:

Course types and Approximate Pricing Indications

Accredited Short Courses & Continuing Professional Education. $1,000 per course - eg First Aid, Rigid Vehicle Licence, Sports Trainer.
Secondary Education $2,000 - e.g. Tuition fees or tutoring
VET & Tertiary Education. $1,000 - eg TAFE certificates, career upskilling.
Vocational Long Course Certificates and Diplomas (Up to $4,000 paid via the RTO fee schedule i.e. not in one payment). Bachelor Degrees, Graduate Certificates, Masters, PHDs. (Up to $4,000 per invoice).
Professional Certification/Accreditation $2,500 - eg Enrolment in programs designed for specific career accreditation and advancement e.g. Certified Practicing Accountant Program.
Other At the discretion of the ACA - eg Private courses, personal development, business mentoring.

An ACA Education and Training Grant CAN be used for: Course fees, tuition fees, essential course materials or tutoring fees.

An ACA Education and Training CANNOT be used for: Student Services Amenities Fees, travel costs to get to uni, parking or placement fees, textbooks, tertiary application fees or professional/practitioner/association membership.

Please note the ACA Grants do not cover books, student amenities fees or registration/accreditation fees.

How to apply?

Please speak with your Player Development Manager (PDM) who will be able arrange a time to catch up or send you a personalised link for you to apply. It is important that applications align with your Individual Development Plan and career opportunities discussed with your PDM.

Please note that the ACA do require at least two weeks to process payments so please check due / census dates.
