2014-15 Member Function dates
I hope this finds you well in what has been an extremely difficult time for all in cricket.
Following extensive consultation with our players, and discussions with Cricket Australia, it was resolved that the Test match series would need to be rescheduled. This has meant that the popular Member Function Dates have changed slightly in a number of states to the following:
- SA - Thursday 11th December (Day 3)
- QLD - Friday 19th December (Day 3)
- VIC - Sunday 28th December (Day 3)
- TAS - Sunday 11th January (T20 double header featuring the Hobart Hurricanes v Perth Scorchers and the Tasmanian Roar v ACT Meteors)
- NSW - Friday January 16 - ODI Australia v England
$350 Personal Health and Wellbeing Grant amount confirmed
All ACA past players are eligible for a financial grant each season to support health, wellbeing, career and education costs in their lives after cricket. The funding for this initiative comes from the current male players to recognise those that have come before them.
This season 667 ACA past player members have registered. The $350 payment will be made to members in April 2015.
Further information on how to obtain the grant payment will be provided to members in the new year.
2015 Health Fair dates
The ACA Health Fair is back for another season, following the resounding success of 2014.
The ACA Health Fair was opened up to past players for the first time last year as a part of the ACA Past Player Game and Personal Development Program.
Last season witnessed 529 attendees across all States, including 229 past players, that took part in 1,138 appointments across:
- Skin checks
- Bone density
- Vision testing
- Health appraisal
Those same services will once again be on offer during this season's Health Fair.

Skin Check - 10 Minutes
A top to toe skin examination to check for any moles, freckles or abnormal skin lesions.
Bone Density Testing - 10 minutes
An ultrasound bone density test on the heel of one foot to assess your risk of fracture due to osteoporosis.
Vision Testing - 15 minutes
A 5-point screening for early identification and minimisation of vision loss.
Health Appraisal - 10 minutes
A screening for common health markers including blood pressure, cholesterol, waist measurement and more.
Massage - 15 minutes
Massage reduces stress and tension and improves mental clarity and concentration. Masseurs will be on site offering relief before or after your other appointments.
A nutritionist will be on hand to provide information and advice about health and food choices, free smoothie samples will be available for members to enjoy on the day.
