GamePlan Wellbeing Education 

Based on member feedback, in 2019/2020 a new wellbeing education program has been developed to support players with the skills and strategies to successfully navigate their way within the high performance environment. 

The education has been tailored to different ages and stages of a players career, and just like skill development on the field, players will progress through the development of emotional and mental skills off the field. 

The topics covered include;

Early Career: Mental Health Literacy, Resilience (1) and Self Awareness/Self Concept (1)

Mid Career: Self Awareness/Self Concept (2), Resilience (2), Emotional Intelligence (1)

Late Career: Self Awareness/Self Concept (3), Emotional Intelligence (2), Relationships/Social Support 

GamePlan Wellbeing Network

The ACA provides free access to qualified psychologist's and psychiatrists through the national wellbeing network for current and recently off-contract ACA members (for 3 years beyond their contract).

Members are also able to access their preferred psychologist and/or psychiatrist outside of the referral network and have these sessions reimbursed.

All sessions are treated confidentially, with de-identified invoices requested from providers.

Counselling

The ACA provide 6 x free and confidential wellbeing counselling sessions to members and their significant others through Relationships Australia.

All invoices from Relationships Australia to the ACA are anonymous.
