One of the most important and anticipated dates on the ACA calendar; The ACA’s member functions have seen yet another strong representation this summer.
Held annually in each state, the member functions provide a means to mix and interact with teammates and players across all eras, at a fully catered day at the cricket.
With four functions complete and two still remaining (Sydney and Brisbane), over 350 members have so far attended this season’s functions.
"It's been excellent to see so many members coming to our functions this season," said ACA General Manager Member Programs Clea Smith.
"These days are an important part of the ACA calendar and we love hosting them. It's fantastic to see old teammates together again, but also players from different eras mixing together. The feedback we’ve had is terrific.”
What the attendees have said:
Kevin Gartrell - WACA member for 50 years
"It’s always such a great day, with great company and a chance to meet up with the guys and girls that have played across the generations. Keep up the great work.”
Kevin Miller - Tasmania's oldest member
"I just love coming here.”
"I've loved the game all my life and I like to catch up with some of the fellas I haven't seen in a long time, and I get to watch a bit of cricket. Is there anything better than that?”
Jill Phillips Melbourne
Once again, the ACA Luncheon in the Hassett room was a delight and a welcome opportunity to meet longstanding cricket friends. It felt like the red carpet was out for us! In fact, all those involved in the catering were most efficient as was the ACA organisation.
Registrations are still open for the remaining ACA Member Function at the Gabba on Saturday 26th December. There is still a limited amount of tickets available. Click Here to register.
