Brendan joined the ACA last month in a newly-created position of Project Manager - State of the Game.
His role is to manage the range of ACA State of the Game projects, delivering initiatives and programs that benefit ACA members and grow the game in general.
Brendan enjoyed a seven-year career with Tasmania from 2005-12, which saw him represent Australia A in 2010, as well as BBL seasons with the Adelaide Strikers and the Melbourne Renegades.
He has gathered experience in a number of settings and stays active in the game through playing and coaching roles in Premier Cricket (with Camberwell Magpies CC) and School competitions.
The State of the Game funds are an unprecedented contribution by the current male players to betterment of the game. The funding comes as a result of the players agreeing to contribute financially to the growth of the game following an increased amount of money coming to them from CA's media rights deal compared to the original estimates for the 2012-17 MOU period.
A key component of the State of the Game initiative is the Grade/ Premier Cricket Program, which has been designed to support ACA members in their post cricket lives by retaining and harnessing their skill, experience and knowledge to inspire, identify and nurture talent through the Grade/ Premier Cricket pathway. There will be more detailed information on these programs in the near future.
Brendan has completed a Bachelor of Human Movement Sports Science and a Graduate Certificate in Management and currently completing a Masters in Business Administration from CQ University.
He is married to Jess, with the couple recently welcoming their first boy, Lachlan. You can reach Brendan on 0422 652 893 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
