Former Australian captain Alex Blackwell, New South Wales captain and Australian wicketkeeper Peter Nevill and Australian great Michael Bevan, sat on a panel hosted by ACA Commercial Manager and former NSW cricketer Tim Cruickshank.
Over 60 people attended the breakfast at Page Group’s Sydney headquarters, largely represented by senior management and chief executives from a number of fields.
The panel and room shared and discussed a range of topics; from the Ashes (both men’s and women’s series), sustaining peak performance, resilience and transitioning out of the game.
A number of current and past players were also in the room, taking full advantage of the networking opportunities and discussing their thoughts on sustaining elite performance.
For NSW teams, this follows a personal branding workshop delivered by the Page Group to the players only a few weeks ago.
Justine Whipper, ACA National Manager Player Development & Wellbeing said;
“Our partnership with the Page Group presents events like these for players, both past and present, to develop their skills and open up opportunities away from the game. It is also a chance to demonstrate how valuable a player's skills and experience could be when transferred into other industries and roles”
“Alex, Peter and Michael are excellent ambassadors for the game and the Australian Cricketers’ Association, drawing from and linking their experiences from elite sport to the corporate environment.
“We’ve received some excellent feedback from the Page Group and we have plans to hold a similar event in Melbourne in future.”
Page Group’s mission is to bring the world’s best employers and brightest professionals together.
The ACA joined in partnership with the Page Group in 2019.
