The CA review is being undertaken by Dr. Simon Longstaff of The Ethics Centre.
As part of the ACA's process we asked for member feedback relating to the current situation of the game and a suggested way forward.
I want to thank all those that took the time to provide their insight and comments, all of which have ultimately helped inform our submission.
Further, to ensure that the ACA's submission is evidence-based, multiple methods of research were used. These included:
The feedback was honest and frank and reflects the level of passion that many ACA members and supporters have for the game.
The ACA's submission has been endorsed by your Delegates at the recent annual conference and, of course, by the ACA's Executive.
As a result, I'm pleased to report that the ACA's submission has now been provided to Dr. Longstaff. We also intend meeting with a CA Board delegation in the next week to outline what we have provided to The Ethics Centre.
This is a critical time in Australian cricket with the two reviews underway (Longstaff and McCosker) potentially having profound impacts on the game's future. We eagerly await the end result from Dr. Longstaff and will obviously keep members updated.
Regards,
Greg Dyer
