Victorian fast bowler Scott Boland is the leader of the ACA Captains MVP award after three rounds.
After 24 wickets across three games, Boland has been the stand out player in this years Shield ahead of New South Wales fast bowler Trent Copeland.
Test hopefuls Alex Doolan (15 votes) and Tom Cooper (14 votes) lead Boland's teammate Chris Tremain (13 votes).
The fourth round of the Sheffield Shiled begins Friday 16 November.
Boland spoke to Foxsports about his start to the season and potential call up to the Australian squad.
“I don’t really think about getting the call-up too often,” the 29 year-old from Frankston Peninsula Cricket Club.
“Those three guys (Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc) are all stars and then I’m playing alongside James Pattinson and Chris Tremain too.
“I’m just trying to bowl my best every time I play and I’m lucky I’ve got good players around me which makes my job easier.
“I don’t think we’ve had to field for more than 85 overs yet so when I bowl I’m fresh and ready to go.”
