The former Western Fury captain, who averages 61.40 in her six one-day internationals, struck 143 (90) in her first Bartercard Premier Cricket match for Prahran on Sunday.
She shared in a record 322-run partnership with Victorian teammate Jess Cameron who amassed 185 (113).
VicSpirit coach Barry Neivandt said that Bolton has already brought a lot to the squad.
"She's a deep thinker about the game and has been a wonderful addition to the group," Neivandt said.
After not playing a match last season, Anna Lanning has forced her way into the side on the back of a brilliant all-round display for Box Hill on Sunday where she claimed 4-29 and posted an unbeaten half-century.
"Anna will bolster our batting line up for the Twenty20s and gives us some flexibility, which we like," Neivandt said.
