Jason Gillespie will play in Strathalbyn and Angaston as part of the Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) Masters tour of South Australia from 9-13 February.
He joins a whole host of former legends, who will take on a local representative XIs in a two Twenty20 matches.
On Friday 10 February from 5:30pm they take on a Barossa Valley XI at Angas Recreation Park, Angaston. Entry just a gold coin donation. All gate takings will go towards Barossa HeartKids.
On the second leg of their trip they will face an Alexandra and Easter Hills CA Representative XI on Sunday 12 February from 2:00pm at Strathalbyn Oval. Entry also just a gold coin donation.

One of Australia’s most popular cricketers, Jason Gillespie brought a unique flare to the game, finishing his career as Australia’s sixth-highest Test wicket-taker with 259 scalps at 26.13, taking his career total to 771 wickets.
Dizzy was also one of the best nightwatchman the game has ever seen, famously posting an unbeaten 201 at Chittagong in 2006.
Following coaching stints in Zimbabwe and India, he took the reigns as head coach of Yorkshire in 2011, coaching the County side for six successful years. He now mentors with the Adelaide Strikers and will assist Australian T20 coach Justin Langer for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka.
More players will be announced in the coming weeks.
The tour will also include in2CRICKET coaching clinics, community visits from the players and a sportsman’s function the night before the T20.

The Tour is supported by The Barossa Council, the Alexandrina Council, the Barossa and Light Cricket Association, the Alexandra and Eastern Hills Cricket Association and the Great Southern Cricket Association.
The Masters program has been developed by the ACA, the official representative body of past and present players. It has been primarily funded by the current first-class and Australian players as part of their commitment to developing the game in regional Australia and engaging with local communities.
