Adelaide Strikers quick Ben Laughlin, former Australian and South Australian leg-spinner Peter Sleep and former South Australian Scorpions quick Steph Morrison have all been added to the ACA Masters squad.
One of the best bowlers of BBL06, Ben Laughlin frustrated batsmen throughout the tournament, going at just 6.09 an over, while snaring nine wickets along the way. The 34-year-old played five ODIs for Australia in 2009 and three T20 Internationals, his last against Sri Lanka in 2013.
During an era where quality leg-spin was incredibly hard to come by, Peter Sleep mastered his art, making his way into the Australia Test side, taking 31 Test wickets. Also a handy bat, ‘Sounda’ spent 20 years as a Redback, finishing his career with 363 first-class wickets and 8,201 runs, including 15 centuries.
A medium-pacer, Steph Morrison played 83 matches for her state from 2006 to 2014, collecting 44 wickets at an average of 32.83 in both the WNCL and WT20 competitions.
