ODI wraps up a successful Zaidee's Rainbow Round

18 January, 2018

From January 6-14, rainbow colours swept across Australian cricket grounds in support of Zaidee’s Rainbow Round.

A number of players throughout the BBL, WBBL and Australian ODI team, donned rainbow coloured grips, laces and wristbands in support of Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation, which supports organ and tissue donor awareness.

Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation founder Allan Tuner thanked the ACA and Australian players for their support.

"I wish to thank all ACA players for their great support in again getting behind the Zaidee’s campaign - promoting awareness and education for organ and tissue donation," Turner said.

"Zaidee would be so very proud to have such elite sporting athletes, driving a national message about a subject that can and does save lives in our community."

"2017 final results will see a growth in the numbers of organ donors, which will give many fellow Australians a second chance in life."

"The Zaidee’s campaigns through sport go a long way to achieving such outcomes and results."

ACA CEO Alistair Nicholson also expressed his gratitude towards Allan and Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation.

"The players take such an active role in support for the Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation which is a great credit to them.”

"Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation has been the ACA’s charity partner for five years and each year the players participation has been vital to the continuing success of the partnership, and the foundation."

Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation has been a charity partner of the ACA since 2013. Rainbow coloured grips and laces can be purchased at Rebel Sport.
